Instructions: The need to close lateral access during sinus lift

The bone window is closed in two cases: there is a risk of migration / loss of particles of the bone bioimplant and the mucoperiosteal flap is split in the area of contact with the bone bioimplant. The window can be closed with a special product LIO-120 or dura mater membranes of suitable size.

TMO membranes have 2 direct readings:

1 Stability of bone material. If we have bone bioimplant plastic and immobile, then the membrane is permissible not to use.

2 The TMO membrane is always placed when, as a result of splitting of the flap and movement of the remnants of the periosteum over the alveolar process, the free (mobile) mucosa contacts the bone bioimplant.
